A little bit more about me...

Hi, I'm Regina, founder of Wellness Kitchen. For over a decade I did my best to balance working full time, being a mom and wife. But just before my 40th birthday it all changed. I got extremely sick and spent months 3 months in bed. I was eventually diagnosed with Graves Disease. One of the worst named diseases ever. The short explanation is it’s an autoimmune disorder that attacks the thyroid and muscles behind the eyes.  At the time, I had never heard of this disease nor did I really know what the thyroid did. I immediately sought treatment from an endocrinologist but didn’t love their surgical and permanent "treatment" plan. I then sought the advice of a Certified Clinical Nutritionist on how to heal my body from the inside. Fast forward 3 years later and I have a much greater understanding of how food affects the body and my disease and have met many other people who have the same struggles.

A lot has changed. I left my high stress career in search of something that would promote a better work-life balance and allow me to focus on my health and family goals. I was not sure where it would lead me, but it led me to create Wellness Kitchen. I have always loved food and enjoyed preparing it for others, and with my need for meals made with clean and organic ingredients and to remove inflammatory items, such as gluten, dairy, soy and refined sugars, I knew others were in the same boat. I feel great now!
